I know the name, I just can't come up with a song mentally to connect him with. Somebody help me.

I just met him. A friend from highschool is his touring drummer right now, and he got ahold of me through myspace, called, I just ran by the club and sat on the tour bus a bit. Nice folks - everyone shook my hand and was very friendly (plus I got to pick up a cherry '72 Tele Custom Deluxe...drooool). I didn't know who the band was until afterwards, when I walked into the club and saw a flyer. Had one of those "...I know that name dammit... but who is he?" moments.

Help me somebody.

I'm reading / have read that part. I just can't figure out what song has been on the radio or whatever, that I've heard. I found a good site, actually, that plays a lot of his songs (purevolume.com). So far no recognition. And his hair is longer now...

He's got roots in the south somewhere, i opened for him in Birmingham.

Nice guy. Next time you're on a tourbus, take out the bassist, then give em my number.

Seriously. They'd never suspect you.

I met them again.

The wife and I had drinks with other folks.

Then we went to the gig. But it was ... too late. We missed all the music. I'm editing my typing carefully, but I'm drunk, btw. Yes, we missed all the music, waiting for the dinner folks who never called. At a bar. Meawhile, the cheap beers added up. Now, the total is unbearable.

I met them all again. Will has a pronounced southern accent. I wondered if it was affected, or genuine. Quietly. They have nice guitars.

I'm in troube. That's a lot of beer. I'm playing Starcraft, listening to albums that make me happy. Headphones. Puked in the sink, bad. Better now, water. Fuuuck. Goddammit I just got off a self-imposed no-booze kick for fuckin october. Ad yet here I am wreslting for control oh I give up why type it out.,

I saw Will here in Austin at Stubbs not too long ago - dug the music - I hadn't heard of him before, but some of my close friends have been into him for a few years. I had the same situation - talking wih him, thinking he was a nice guy, not knowing the music, but then being like "hey, this isn't bad at all!"

hey cap'n - glad to see you drunk posting - it's been a long time since you've done that. I had band practice tonight, and don't work until 2PM tomorrow, so I'[ve still got a long night ahead of me. As soon as my coworkers are done closing the bar, we're going to do some serious mongering.

....I don't even wanna drag myself through the ordeal of imagining what it'd be like to be involved in a real "band practice." It's been too long. You just pray to the god of mustached-devorcees that Phil keeps supplying your ass with top-shelf gear / food / advice / etc. It's a great way to learn.

I used to be Phil, within my own little sphere. I'm was the guy who bought gear and loaned it to others to see it used properly. It's not a bad gig.

i do not mind being an acolyte to the gear God - if all I must do is keep the beer shelf stocked, so be it.

small price to pay. Beer stockage, plus an occaisional moment of "gott-damn, that sounds good." Because that's what it's all about.

When I switch between programs, there's a funny stutter in the music.

I was wondering if that's who we were talking about.
If I had known, I would have requested Cap bring Busty along for the Busty Slap treatment.

To which I would have gleefully complied.

By the way I find drunk Kyle very very funny. But only when he vomits and doesn't feel good.

Oh how the tables have turned my friend.

Yep, saw Siggi. He's mellowed a little, which means he only name-dropped 8 famous people ("Brendan O'Brien told me one day, 'I need you to be my go-to guy for drum setups'", etc) instead of 25. I give him credit - he found a way to not grow up. Live on a tour bus, play video games, smoke pot, pick up bar skanks in every new town...
