I'm giving serious thought to driving 5 or 6 hours to Rehoboth Beach, DE only to the Dogfish Head brewpub there Image, get plastered, sleep in a hotel/car/sleeping bag, and then either drive back or do it one more night. There is a serious chance of me doing this myself over the course of a normal weekend. Anyone got any better ideas that are around a 6 hour drive from the site of George Allen's recent dismissal from the Senate?

I think The Carter Family Fold might be a little out of range, despite being in the same state. Also, you could probably wrangle cotton into meeting you in Delaware, but I've just always wanted to go to The Carter Family Fold.

I think the challenge is to find a way to get there w/o having to drive south and then all the way to the end of VA on that road crossing the very bottom of the state.

I would reccomend playing LOUD, Offensive rap music the whole way as well ;)

According to mapquest, Jim Thrope PA is 5.5 hours. I'm a big fan of the Glen Onoko Falls trail at Lehigh Gorge State Park (pics). Cotton is on the way.

Two weeks ago, I would have suggested Halloween in Athens, Ohio even though it's 6.5 hours away.
