I'm hooked and I was thinking the same. His sister doesn't have much luck in the love department so that would make sense. I'll go one step further and say that black cop partner of hers seems to be developing a romantic interest in her too at the same time he seems to be getting suspicious about how dex understands the mind of mass killers so well. I could see dex killing him too, just don't know how that one would get rationalized.

I'm hoping he kills Rita's ex. The confrontation between him and Dexter at her door was pretty awesome.

I've been watching this. After about seven episodes, it sure feels like unreached potential. I like the concept. I like the guy playing Dexter. But, in the way that most Showtime series do, it's heavy-handed. Not as bad as "Brotherhood" which got to the point of camp, but a bit much nonetheless. Both the character of the sister and the actress playing her are God-awful and the muscle cop dude and the female lieutenant aren't much better.

The first two episodes of season 2 (which doesn't start until mid-September) are up on the usual torrenting sites. :rawk:

How about season one? I'm still waiting for Netflix to get it.

I wish I hadn't watch the 2 leaked episodes.

Now i gotta wait even longer for the new season to start. But, what they're setting up in that first ep makes me wanna see the rest even more now.

Yea, I caught an episode or two last season, but want to watch it all on Netflix. Supposed to be released on 8/21.

This is one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. If you haven't seen it, either dl torrents of the first season, or get it through netflix. You won't be disappointed.

I'm psyched that season 2 is almost ready. Weeds (another great show) is supposed to be coming out then too.

I quit watching like halfway through the season but not out of dislike for the show, just got tired of downloading them. I'll probably buy it when it comes out on dvd. August 21st, I believe.

Oh and Heroes is out on dvd a week after that.

Is Showtime going to be replaying S1 before the new season starts? If not, I'll have to rent the DVDs. I really wanted to watch this show, but I missed the first 2-3 episodes and decided to wait.

I don't have On Demand because I have DirecTV.

Oh well, DVDs it is. I just put 'em first in my Blockbuster queue.

Yeah, I can't remember which episode they were on in the re-airing but I think it came on on Sunday.

I'm about halfway through it on On-Demand. Hope to catch up when I get back home but it'll probably be awhile at this point.

I'm a fan though. Interesting.

I finished all of season 1 over the weekend. Now I can't wait for September 30th! It's gonna suck having to wait a week between episodes.

Absolutely fantastic season so far. Probably the only show I regularly watch that hasn't let me down this year.

Son. of. a. bitch.

I ruined this thread the first time around and didn't even listen to shiv about this show and for the last month or so you know what I've heard is pretty good and I've really wanted to see? Dexter.

Kicking your ass is the only thing that gives me joy, Joey.

And I'll get on this Dexter thing now.

+1

Weeds, Heroes and Greys Anatomy have all been a little disappointing so far.
