katie couric was mouthing off about this on the today show the other day. it's not like the prudish dresses from the past prevented blood from getting on them by 12:30 anyway.

I wouldn't let her wear that dress. Maybe if my daughter was a stripper? But to the prom, she could wear it, the day after I die.

Lord help me never have a daughter when I have kids.....

After I explained to my daughter that she had the dress on backwards, I think her big night would progress more smoothly.

You would see hundreds of girls dressed like this every friday night in Glasgow.

You people need to get out your hipster bars abit more often and go dancin' with the common girls.

You know, Darrin, I think that is more of a UK thing. I noticed in London that the girls there wear way less when they go out than the girls here (and I don't mean just in Portland, but in any major metro area). I think it has to do with that US puritanical way of thinking... ;)

I would never let my daughter wear something so disgusting. Besides, it would look better on me, anyway.

*thumbs up*

So funny, you funny, funny man, you.

My point was that the article was about high school kids wearing that dress. Not about adults out partying on a Friday.

I wouldn't let my daughter wear it if she were a teen.

From the article:

"On the night of the prom, we have chaperones at the entry looking at every dress. We also provide needle, thread and pins to close up holes and fix dresses to the appropriate length," she says.

Now, wouldn't it just be better to bring a sweater, given the, uh, dimensions of the dress? A needle-and-thread just wouldn't do it...
