Is it earned, deserved or both?

Does laughing at off color humor denote a lack of respect?

Does publicly feeling sorry for someone who doesn't want your unwanted, pious, sanctimonious, holier than thou bullshit constitute a lack of respect?

Discuss.

I'll check back in throughout the day as this thread sinks to the bottom.

First off: A basic human respect should be expected of all.
-Respect of beliefs
-Respect of opinions (as we all have them)
etc.
etc.

All other forms of respect must be earned.

Oddly, it's from a thread started by gregrey.

Interestingly enough, neither of these exists on Obner. :)

Is that similar to couscous? How does it pair with falafel? Complementary?

I agree with PopTodd on the fact that basic human day to day operations for the most part is an assumed respect.

I do think that sometimes if you feel respect has been lost on someone else, and they don't feel the same way, then it can come across as perhaps overbearing and disrespectful. Sorry, its hard to articulate thoughts at 2pm on a Friday.
