US is brilliant in its own respect, but UK trumps it still, for me.

ive seen all the episodes in both.

i have too concentrate too hard to figure out what the UK gang are saying. Sometimes i lose out on the funny in getting the translation.

I go with US.

but the UK rules as well.

I haven't really watched alot of either, but I have seen more of the US version due to Steve Carrell. I think Dwight and Jim on the american one are pretty good too.

i havent seen the british version. the american version is tops though. and if ricky gervais is half as good in the office as he is in the fantastic extras, it must be good.

it is dude.

gareth keenan is by far the funniest supporting character ever.

and michael scott is pretty funny, but not nearly as great as his david brent predecessor.

Dwight > Gareth
David > Michael
Pam > Dawn
Jim ? Tim

Because the US version has had so many more episodes than the UK, they have been able to flesh out the characters so much more. Especially the secondary ones (Creed, Stanley, Angela, Ryan, and now Toby a little bit) .

Thus,

The Office US > The Office UK

This is why I prefer the US version, despite this:

Gervais is a super-genius in the UK one.

ButI think the US ensemble is what makes the new one.

yeah, last night was awesome

and a solid reminder of why The Daily Show isn't as funny as it used to be.

Only seen the UK version and bits of the US. But I still say UK is better. They're both very good though.

This is why I watched with subtitles the first time through.

I like the US version but totally agree with this statement.

There is no way Dwight is better than Garreth. Dwight has his moments but he bugs me sometimes too. Garreth was always funny.

I love 'em both, but in different ways.

The UK version, while an out-&-out classic, didn't make me LOL nearly as much as the US version does.

Just a difference in the comedic styles of the 2 countries, I s'pose.

I've never seen the UK version, but for as much as people rave about it, I'll have to put it on my list eventually.

The US version is definately the funniest show on TV right now. At least until Scrubs comes back in two weeks.

I boycotted the US at first, but have gotten into it this season.

Gareth>>Dwight

After the amazingness that was Gareth, I feel as though Dwight's overplaying it a little. He's growing on me though, so maybe soon I'll be able to bump that down to one >.
