SDRE?

And seriously, guy. Get some Pavement right now. I think everyone here will disagree with me but I am going to suggest Terror Twilight as the first purchase of Pavement.

Oh, and on an unrelated note, I watched Shopgirl tonight, don't ask me why, and got a surprise dose of Mark Kozelek. What an ugly dude, but damn that sucker is great.

bing bing bing. While they certainly wouldn't make a list for most output, they certainly were an amazing band. Same with Hum.

They've gone off now but the Super Furry Animals had a good run in the '90's.

This is the UK, and I wouldn't say Oasis.

If Kid A was '99, it would be Radiohead.
Nirvana and R.E.M. both nailed it early on and petered out.
Am I allowed to say Beck?

My top 5 list
(order can change on any given day):
•Los Lobos
•Blur
•Pavement
•Yo La Tengo
•Guided By Voices

caveat: Only includes bands that released 3 or more albums in the 1990's, or I might also include:
•Neutral Milk Hotel
•The La's
•Belle & Sebastian

My favourite bands of the 90s would probably be the Tragically Hip, Pearl Jam and Pavement.

Personal favorite - Dinosaur Jr

If I'm being objective, I completely agree with this:

I'll say Soundgarden. They had more depth with each album and had a great run through the 90s.

I tried over and over with those guys, but could just never get into them.

Yeah, I would probably say this.

Others qualified by too-late-of-a-release date:
- Tool (Lateralus)
- Deftones (White Pony)

I honestly think I slept through most of the 90s... but if I had to choose one band, I'd say Nirvana, although they didn't really last throughout the 90s.

Nirvana can't be the band of the 90s if they were done in the early to mid 90s.
