While we're talking about iPods, I cannot get my shuffle to work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the iPod software and iTunes and nothing. The box doesn't indicate that it's formatted for a Mac, so does anyone have ideas on what to try next?

I need to do this with my shuffle Bloor. Shit's f-ed up. About 10% of the songs on it now have a glitch of some sort, where they play 1/2-way through and then fuck up, or skip (but at the same spot, every time), etc. I need to just wipe it out and start fresh, because the files are all fine on the mothership.

But not now. I neeeeed it now. Pulling a 14-hour-at-school day.

btw, as long as this is the ipod techincal support thread, my 60 gig konked out this weekend. Took it to the Apple store where it was diagnosed with catastrophic failure. 4 months out of warranty.

I treated it well, believe me. I know how to take care of my shit. Had a big bulky case on it at all times. Still, here I am, 16 months after a $400 purchase with my dick in my hand.

So the only question now is, 30 gig or 80 gig?
