I would have thought that it DIDN'T pay to be a c/ah/ccaclum. Twas my experince in the South up until I left Kentucky in 1992. Just sayin'.

NO, I mean obner, not Aladamnbama, where it pays to be able to tell people which of your relatives was killed by "that bastard Lincoln," and at which battle, too.

Haq has some problem with Dalen that seems to stem from Dalen's "obvious" racism and homophobia, and has nothing to do with Haq'a lack of humor.

As to the giving of free music, an aqcuaintance with weed is a friend indeed, but since two of my real life friends have met the guy and seem to think he is pretty cool, I'll take their words for it, not your Captain Indy. Double up on the cardigansm the cold must be freezin your amazing capacity to be so much smarter and smugger than the rest of us.

When Dalen first showed up on CMJ, everyone hated him, because he was an asshole with nothing to contribute.

now i contribute more than you do, and it has nothing to do with my love for music.

all you contribute is some whiney ass comments in every other post, trying to convince everyone that you're smart.

let's just say you don't have anyone on Obner fooled.

I may have to mentally amend Haq's theme song...

"This is wheeere the party ends,
I can't stand here listenin'
To yoooou, and your racist friend.

I know politics bore you,
But I can't sit here listenin' to yoooou,
And your racist friend."

I for one think Haq has a great sense of humor. I think he's in the top 5 posters whom I laugh at the most.

That's a pretty admirably heartfelt response, considering.

Richards', I mean. Good for him for having the balls to make an apology on TV instead of through a publicist or personal statements or whatever bullshit.

oh hell yeah. There's no way that was gonna go down smooth. How do you call up seinfeld and be like "yeah, so you're on Letterman tonight, right? You mind if I...?"

That's all changed--he is now a sycophantic asshole who hooks people up with free music in exchange for friendship.

I feel sorry for you if you really feel this way, Haq. But whatever.

Oh, for sure, the audience was in the dark. I figure half the audience was on vacation and had no idea about Kramer dropping N-bombs a couple days earlier. That story broke Monday morning essentially and that show tapes at five in the afternoon. It didn't make the papers that morning so these people were oblivious. Kramer (I refuse to call him by his real name) seemed contrite on Letterman, but I think after that first N-word slipped at the Laugh Factory, he felt compelled to start this mantra of repeating Nigga, Nigga, Nigga, cause the horse was pretty much out of the barn at that point. He was attempting to cover up geniune racism by turning it into a bit that ultimately had no punch line. I think people could write off Mel Gibson's racism because he's a conservative who has a holocaust denying father, but it seems black people now have no reason to believe that there is a color-blind white person on the planet when a liberal Hollywood quasi-Jew starts slinging the N-word about with reckless abandon. Thanks for setting us back a few decades Kramer. Then again, maybe he was on coke, so all is forgiven. Also these are just words, he didn't burn down a black church after all. Not sure what to think about this, or if I should even think about it at all.
