In a few months, Explosions In the Sky will be releasing their much anticipated new album, All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone. It's due out in February.

You can check out "Welcome, Ghosts" here -->
http://www.punknews.org/bands/explosionsinthesky

A limited edition bonus disc including remixes will packaged with the first batch of albums. Remixers include Jesu, The Paper Chase, Four Tet and Eluvium. The band is promising "massive amounts" of touring in the new year, and recently celebrated the 50,000th sale of their 2003 album, The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place.

I. Cannot. Wait.

The song sounds nice. It sounds a bit darker than The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place but still nice and dreamy.

I hope the rest of the album is like this song.

Sometimes I feel like bands like this don't have too far to go and progress but then Mono and these guys show me that they don't really have to have some drastic change to continue to be creative. It's great stuff.

And 50,000. Damn, that's nice.

That's the "official" release date.

I am calling the "Timis" release date to be just after Christmas.

i heard a bunch of the new songs at a show in NYC a couple months back, they are a bit darker and sometimes heavier, but still wonderful. i can't wait to hear the new record, nor can I wait to see them again in February (bought my tix yesterday)
