Secret Machines/Moving Units/Autolux @ Middle East $14

I wouldn't really say I'm a fan of any of the bands. I've never heard Autolux, I liked one song by Moving Units but their album was kind of boring, and I've had the last Secret Machines album on my computer for ages but I've never bothered to listen to it.

Moving Units- fun tracks to hear at the club when you're out dancing, live show was BLAH. Everything sounded repetitive after the 3rd song.

Autolux- my favorite local band right now, worth checking out. RIYL My Bloody Valentine, Cursive. Live show is good, but more on the mellow side.

Secret Machines- saw them when they opened for Interpol, they were good. And the album is worth checking out.

I'm not going. I still need to shower and eat and Autolux goes on at 9 and I'm still playing with my IRiver so I'll just go get drunk at the bar later.

I'm all about this show in Chicago I believe next week. I'm going for Autolux cause I've really only heard the other two band names mentioned around here and other various sites, meaning I've never heard shit by them. I was a big Failure fan, so I feel I must check out Autolux live. I dig their full length, but yea, as Puma said I can definitely see this show being on the chill side.

i was thinking about it, but i can't justify paying for a show just to see an opener that i've heard a few songs by. and i haven't been impressed by the others live. secret machines reminded me of a fuller black heart procession when i saw them a few years ago, but they seem to have branched out a bit since then. and moving units just bored me and then were dicks when i tried to talk to them after the show.
