You think you made that up? Have you ever been on the el with some high schoolers from the west side who eat laffy taffy and throw their wrappers on the floor of the train?

Wow. I guess it is true. Let me try some more. People from Bangladesh love Nila Wafers.

I always wondered how true it is that people get fucked in the ass all the time in prison.

Salt and vinegar potato chips, too. Harold's Chicken as well.

I'm not even making fun of them. That's just what they like. Sort of like how honkys love casseroles. I'm half white trash and I LOVE casseroles and mixing my food together to make piles. Whatevs.

I was a public defender for a while. From what my clients said, it does happen. Not as often as maybe the movies portray, but it does happen. Keep in mind that corrections officers are pretty low-hanging fruit.

Woops, beaten to the punch.

So true j,
Unless they're throwin em at each other. Highly prevalent on the busses.

True about the chips and the harold's chicken shack too. But have you eaten there? It's SPECTACULAR.

How about the boricuas with their chile limon lays chips? So gross. Or lucas, that salt crap that they spread on their hands and lick? They've got a dill pickle version of it. Unbelievably vile.

Do not harsh on my lime-infused tortilla chips, Gandhi.

Also, what the hell is a "luca"?

Yea, why else do you think the song says "shake that laffy taffy?"

this made me laugh but only because it reminded me of the scene in The Royal Tenenbaums when Royal calls Danny Glover "Coltrane".

http://www.mexgrocer.com/brand-lucas.html

also, your tortilla chips with a hint of lime are nothing compared to the chile-limon lays chips, or cheetos. Imagine flamin hot cheetos doused in lime juice. It's not a bad combo, it's just too much lime.

Oh yeah, I've eaten Harold's chicken a LOT. Good stuff.

Funny, I walked into our mailroom (run by a black dude) and there was a bag of salt and dill potato chips open on his desk.

The mexicans across the street from my house sell those pinwheel-like corn things. They're in a bag, you douse them in hot sauce and they get really soggy and you eat them like that. Sooooooo good. My roommate would murder me if I brought them home, though.

My favorite stereotypes are the one that sneak up on you.

Like when I was eating with this black girl and a song came on the radio. She tells me she likes the song, which featured a big sax solo...and then goes...yeah, I know white people think all us black folks love the saxaphone...

I was baffled. Any white people out there been stereotyping black people as a bunch of damn saxaphone lovers?

Where did this come from?

And, white or black...Laffy Taffy rocks...grape is the best.

I was unaware of the Laffy Taffy stereotype until this thread. I mean I heard the song but didn't necessarily think it was because of a stereotype.

Come on, people. Black folk don't even know what "Cheetos" are, but they eat the hell outta some chee-weez.

beg to differ. The brand name is now apparently slang that means "cool", but it's pronounced kind of long and drawn out, and the s is almost non-existent. Because i can't say it right, i am now "the man".

I've said it before here and I'll say it again. Someone tell Hollywood that we do have air conditioning in the South and have had it for some time. We do not walk around fanning ourself with persperation balling up on our faces and ceiling fans in every public building while wearing suits.

Oh, and I don't live in a run down big plantation house or practice voodoo in the middle of a big effin' swamp or even know anyone who does.

And Chicago's NOT nicknamed "The Windy City" because of the wind.

And we're not slower than or more polite than New Yorkers.
