Rock 'n' Roll MacDonalds is better than any Strokes tune. No discussion necessary.

And Old K I'll take your word for it. I certainly enjoy a lot of the products of that art form, I just tend to side with my own background and say "it's easier." That's probably unfair AND incorrect. I'm not a tyrant.

Because you come across as head/up/ass or you believe that you are the dalai lama.

Just for the record, I don't feel that that is an astute or accurate description of the Cap'n. But, what do I know? I am just a fuckin' Yank.

You are and most people would disagree with you.

Why exactly does he have his head up his ass? Seems to me he gave a reasonable argument of his position.

Been awhile since I got someone mad. And damn if I can figure out how I did it, unless he's an especially proud dj.

It's Petecockroach, Cap'n - I don't think he's mad so much as dense.

Damn dude. Even I can't support you on this. While the songs on both of those albums are VERY good they also sound like they were done at the same recording session.

Yeah man I don't agree with this either but I do fucking LOVE this album.

Neither of you have listened to either of these albums since 2004 if that's how you really think.

When I say nothing, I mean, they sound like the same band, but not much else.

the first two albums sound almost exactly alike and when any strokes song comes on random 90% of the time i can't remember which album they are off of.

I've met the Cap'n and he's a good guy. Just differing opinions.

I put this back on again. It's every bit as good as I thought it was.

Can't we have one good album come out without a huge clump of you joyless bastards gleefully shitting all over it? Why is that so much fun?

I'm tired.

ooh you got me there. how many of those albums have you heard?

Tanner, The Neptunes beats are on some next shit, and Girl Talk...he CUTS UP DIFFERENT PIECES OF MUSIC!

I was thinking today that you might like the Girl Talk album. It's mostly hip hop verses (Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Cassidy, Ying Yang Twins, Three 6 Mafia) over different artists. The whole tracklisting is here. It's not really that he cuts up different pieces of music but that there's so many and it all pretty much works.

I have it, and like it. And despite my protestations, that clipse album is creeping into my conciousness. If the hooks were a little tighter, especially on tracks 8-9, it would be a lot better, tho.

Femgar loves that fuckin Girl Talk rekkid. It has some funny parts, like when he plays that Verve song over the Ying Yang Twins. That said, its not really groundbreaking, even for DJ music, IMO. And, I pretty much completely dismiss "pushing the musical envelope" as a reason for liking something.

I like the Biggie verse over Tiny Dancer but my favorite track as a whole on there is Bounce That.

Apart from a few songs, just didn't grab me

Will give it a reappraisal soon though
