You're presuming I was directing my comment specifically at you. I was making a corellation to many, many posts by many, many people over a span of years. I quote you because it was pertinent to the corellation, not because you specifically did all those things in that one post.

My point being indie boards, this one included, feature a tremendous amount of superbly subjective contempt regarding not just music, but women, politics, films, books, races, cultures etc. Which is fine, except that the rationales given for the contempt often stink of narrow-minds, sheltered people, misunderstanding/fear of the opposite sex, fear of people who aren't caustically "aware" 24/7. Teh Dumb masquerading as urbane intellect.

So indie peeps hate hippies. They hate Christians. They hate "dumb" foreign people. They hate "dumb" minorities. They're suspicious and dismissive of anything that reeks of moral motivation or integrity for integrity's sake.

They bitch and moan about everything they hate, find tedious, gross, ugly, unbearable.

Which is fine, but what they put up as poster children for replacements are often more tedious, gross, ugly, and unbearable, or are indistinguishable from the original tediousness.
