i saw a rolling rock commercial on thanksgiving that apologized for the beer ape commercial. and someone i know saw an apology on a billboard in their town. and we were both wondering about the actual commercial. it's on youtube (and all over). i've googled for a reason why it was apparently banned, but all i find is that rolling rock received complaints - not exactly what the complaints are about. what's offensive about this ad?

i thought from the start it was just for hype, but a couple people persuaded me that it was too racy for tv. i doubted it. and there's something on the RR website saying the friends of rolling rock site is totally unaffiliated anyway.

I tried a Rolling Rock for the first time when I was in Atlanta. I can say with great certainty that I've puked up better tasting beer. Absolutely fucking terrible.

I'm far from a beer snob. RR is terrible and almost undrinkable. The only thing good about it is the price. I remember a convience store in Baton Rouge selling 12 packs of bottles for 3 bucks once. We bought as much as we could carry. Drank that crap for 2 months.

I dated a guy when I was younger who took me to a local brewery called the Weinkeller. I ordered one of those sampler things (12 little beers which get you trashed after drinking about three) and he ordered a Rolling Rock. Our waiter laughed and said, "No, really. What're you having?" BF got mad and pouted for the rest of the evening.
