Thank you, Joey.

But let's get a mix out of this.

"Under My Thumb" and "Quicksand" are right up there. Actually, most Rolling Stones and most Martha & The Vandellas songs.

Also, any Barry Manilow Song. Particularly "Can't Smile Without You."

Whoever did that "He Hit Me (It Felt Like A Kiss)" song in the early 60's. Crystals maybe?

Indie rock love songs are almost all creepy.

This is hard, because I generally try so hard to avoid these songs. and I'm blanking on the title of the PJ Harvey song I'm thinking of.

Would "Closer" be considered a love song? If so, it's pretty freaking creepy.

Intentionally creepy or just ones we find creepy?

"He Hit Me (It Felt Like a Kiss)" - The Crystals

EDIT: Scooped!

Rid of Me? I think that qualifies:

"Tie yourself to me
No one else
No, you're not rid of me"

Backstreet Girl by the Stones...

and later covered by Social Distortion.

Here's the lyrics:

I don't want you to be high
I don't want you to be down
Don't want to tell you no lie
Just want you to be around

Please come right up to my ears
You will be able to hear what I say

Don't want you out in my world
Just you be my backstreet girl

Please don't be part of my life
Please keep yourself to yourself
Please don't you bother my wife
That way you won't get no hell

Don't try to ride on my horse
You're rather common and coarse anyway

Don't want you out in my world
Just you be my backstreet girl

Then, there's always the blues classic I Just Wanna Make Love to You.

Or...Be My Girl Sally by the Police...the one with the inflatable girlfriend...

and another for the pervs....

You're Sixteen...You're Beautiful...and You're Mine...

Elvis Presley - "Treat Me Nice"
Rod Stewart - "Tonight's The Night"
Heart - "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You"

John Phillips -- Just 14...not really a love song, but, oh how it is creepy.

Maybe also Grudgefuck by Scud Mtn Boys, though it's perhaps more pathetic than creepy.

I don't know, man, the liner notes say it's an original (written by John Terlesky). Different song, same title?

Oh yeah. I was thinking that all along. But the Phillips song (about Mick nailing his daughter) is pretty creepy. Your post just reminded me of it.

Michael Jackson - "Ben"
Gilbert O'Sullivan - "Alone Again (Naturally)"
Michael Jackson - "She's Out Of My Life"
Enrique Iglesias - "Escape"
Michael Jackson - "Dirty Diana"

Hell, every Jackson song except "Ease On Down The Road" and "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough."

The Smiths "Hand In Glove" is knowingly creepy, so that doesn't quite fit.

But Natalie Cole covering Springsteen's "Pink Cadillac" like she's Aretha, with no apparent knowledge that it's about big-booty lovin', is both creepy and overbearing.
