Wembley Arena
Greater London

Pre-game at a neaby pub
Wench: You're having fruit juice too?
Sketch: Yeah, I don't feel like drinkin'. This show is like going to church, you see.
Wench: *pause* Right.

Mastodon
This Mortal Soil
The Wolf is Loose
Crystal Skull
Capillarian Crest
Colony of Birchmen
Sleeping Giant
Circle of Cysquatch
Hearts Alive

Pretty good visuals for an opener. They had a huge tarp of the Blood Mountain cover, which complemented the lighting. They were TIGHT, but the mix did not do them justice. Wench made the excellent point that the soundcheck was probably based on a full house, and it was barely half-full for the Georgia boys. English ingrates. *sigh* They are back in March, and I'm assuming it's a headlining tour.

Tool
Stinkfist
Swamp Song
"Good evening. We have good news and bad news. The good news is... Danny Carey and Maynard Keenan, Irish... Adam Jones, Welsh... and Justin Chancellor, English. The bad news is... there is no bad news."
Jambi
Schism
Lost Keys (Blame Hofman) / Rosetta Stoned
The Pot
----
(brief band break on stage. Justin lights two lighters, and all the smokers in the arena set their flames on high. Cool candle-lit effect, to which I remarked 'See, I told you it was like church.')
----
Wings for Marie / 10,000 Days
Lateralus
Vicarious (Maynard made us sing the bit where it peaks. Bastard)
AEnema

Awesome, awesome, awesome. At first, I thought the visuals would be minimal after the first few songs, but they just kept adding more and more stuff. It was certainly a complete sensory experience. I didn't need a reminder of why they are my favorite rock band on the planet, but I think Wench understands it a bit more now. That always helps.

No, they're from the former Soviet bloc... hence the "Georgia boys" reference.

EDIT: And yes Wench rules the school.

I've wanted to see Tool in concert for years. They only played Kansas City on this tour, though. Sounds like it was a great show!
