So, are these guys going to have more posthumous releases than official albums like so many other bands who met a tragic demise?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for more music from great bands. It should just be worth releasing. I'm just a jaded old fuck. Waiting to hear the verdict on this one.

I picked it up the other day. It's no Guitar Romantic, but it is really nice to hear them again. All the singles and 7" are impossible to find. My favorite track it probably Making Teenage Faces. If you have an actually copy of the disc, you can put it in a computer and watch video from their 2nd to last show.

Okay, the songs "Making Teenage Faces", "Busy Signals" and "Shattered" are as essential as any Exploding Hearts material. "We Don't Have to Worry Anymore" and "So Bored" are very good songs, but maybe a hair below the best Guitar Romantic Material. "Your Shadow" is a re-write of one of GR songs (I forget which one, maybe "Boulevard Trash").

The only alternate version that's better than the original is "Thorns in Roses," which has a way better mix in my opinion. However, the other alternate versions ("Modern Kicks," "Still Crazy," "Throwaway Style" and "I'm a Pretender") are worthwhile for their looser feel, they are just not as good as the amazing GR versions. "Sniffin Glue" and "Walking Out on Love" are pretty much throwaway tracks.

The five best songs on this album easily justify the purchase, considering that's basically half of guitar romantic' s length and just as good. An exceptional band and an exceptional tragedy. I'll probably buy it this week.

You should go out and buy Guitar Romantic right now. If you like the Buzzcocks, The Real Kids, The Vibrators, early Clash, you will LOVE LOVE LOVE these guys.

Get Guitar Romantic dude. This is good if you don't already have the 7" singles and various tracks. Also, may I suggest waiting til Feburary and ordering this with the new Ergs! album when it comes out on Dirtnap? I may? Ok then I do.

I wish The Nice Boys disc was half as good as this album.
