What did you have in mind? Bronx S/T? Bad Religion's The New America? ATDI's Relationship of Command?

I would put that Refused album in my top 50 punk albums, but that's about the only one of the past 15 years I can think of that would possibly make my list. What albums after 1999 do you think are worthy?

poppycock. they made the fucking record.

And deliberately stayed on Epitaph to release it. Is "Ruby Soho" that much more watered down than "Salvation?"

here is my take......any punk band should not EVER be on MTV.....

this could stem into another discussion, but i will leave it at that.

against me! - reinventing axl rose
propagandhi - today's empire tomorrow's ashes
toys that kill - control the sun

also i think it was 98 or so but

Any punk top 50 list that would put Green Day at #2 and doesn't even include FEAR makes me wanna barf.

And Bad Religion, Offspring and NOFX should be shot...at least Blink 182 has a sense of humor.

And, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegtables is absolutely the best Dead Kennedys.

Dude, do you stil have a safety-pinned jean jacket with the Anarchy symbol boot-blacked on the back?

C'mon Timis. There's not a bad song on that whole rekkid, and you know it. Punk, Schmuck.

(The Stones are still the only band to get arrested for pissing in a driveway)

SHEFRAC free-lanced for KERRANG! back in the late '80s. Did shots (and I HOPE that's ALL she did) backstage with Pantera for one story. I mean, I respect Dimebag's legacy and all, but I'd rather he hadn't previously drilled my oilfield...if ya know what I mean!

Somehow, I got a TOTALLY different impression of how SHEFRAC would have been. Skrange.

i'll give you pegboy
but you gotta stick with today's empires for propagandhi

personally i don't care for lagwagon/goodriddance/strungout/88fingers/riseagainst/pennywise or THAT type of punk
but probably in the overall scheme some of it should have gotten onto the list

Offspring and NOFX make me ill, but I've had a soft spot for Bad Religion for many years. They're as angry now as they were a quarter century ago and I respect that consistent passion. Not that they actually have any viable political solutions concerning everything they rail against (nor does Killing Joke), but it translates to better tuneage than anything by less focused and more sophomoric "angry" bands like Offspring.

I wouldn't put anything by Killing Joke or Bad Religion on my toplist or anything, but I've liked both groups for a long time.

She's completely different now than she was in her HS and college heyday. She used to be a rebellious preacher's daughter with a full-throttle wild child streak. Now, she's a church secretary who volunteers with Special Olympics. Your impression is probably more accurate than you think.

NOFX has to stay on the list - just replace "so long" with "the decline"

I like Killing Joke...I just have a longstanding disdain for Bad Religion.

I kinda got the idea that she was ALWAYS mild mannered.

Oh...and I like that Rancid album. Selling records is fine by me. Sex Pistols were top of the charts in their homeland and the Ramones were always trying to sell records. Hardcore bands tried to get signed and only went DIY because labels were too scared, not because they didn't want to get heard.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

She has a MUCH more mongerous history than I do. Jaw-dropping mongerousness, in fact.

haha....that was funny

i dont have a problem with a band selling tons of records - i just dont want to see them on MTV (good example look at NOFX) - just defeats the whole punk mentality.

cats - i would just leave the list to one nofx album - punk in drublic

The original intention of the punk movement was to take over the radio stations. So... your arguement holds no water, from a historical perspective. That is, if you really want to get into that.

And that Rancid record is a motherfucker.
Maybe not top-10, but a great record nonetheless. Worthy of inclusion on the list.
