so in the preseason i had: DEN vs IND, PHI vs CAR, DEN over CAR

now: NE vs SD, DAL vs CHI, and SD over DAL

i just think INDi will choke again and don't have faith in rex.

your thoughts?

Dallas is in better shape right now than Chicago, but they still have so many combustable elements and they may not even win their own division. I think the NFC is a total toss up right now. Talk to me in week 15 when some of this mess gets sorted out.

As for the AFC, Indy won't "choke" they are just a piss-poor team in terms of run defense and that will get exploited against any other high-caliber AFC team. I like SD to make it through.

NE vs. SD would be great. Of course SD would get stomped but that's ok.

Even though IND barely wins when they play I imagine they'll make it.

it's going to be baltimore/chicago, chicago will win 2-0 due to mcnair's legs finally deteriorating and falling off while in the end zone.

Preach it.

I mean, the NFC is really wide open. If the Saints can find just a touch of D and avoid turnovers, they could easily handle Dallas or Chicago.

AFC- I really, really like Peyton Manning and want him to win one badly, but, once again, I just don't see it happening. I'm waiting for Belichick to come out on the sidelines with a completely sleeveless hoodie before the season is over. He'll be crushed by a giant Milwaukee's Best can and all of the Northeast will proclaim that god is dead. This leaves the door wide open for the Chargers, who really look like the class of the league right now in all three phases.

I think you are 100% right, including your SB outcome. The Chargers are #1 right now.

ehh, they gave up a bunch of points to Cincy early, but I think that their D will return to form when Merriman comes back this week. True, probably an overstatement from the top of my head.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how the cheater performs after he's clean.

Who says he'll be "clean"? NFL sets the ratio of testosterone in the body to a maximum of 500% of normal (which you can obviously maintain, even if doping... especially if doping). Merriman only failed the first time 'cause his result was 700% of normal. See the difference between clean and "clean", then?

I'm not that familiar with the NFL's steriod policy, but I do know the guy was definately juicing. He'll never have my respect no matter he does on the field from this point on. He put on like 25 pounds just before the NFL draft his rookie year. He's a fraud.

Sad thing is, it's getting pretty tough to find those who aren't on the juice these days.

I think SD is a very dangerous team, but I'm not sure they would beat NE and their experience if they both got to the AFC championship game.

I'm still holding out hopes that Carolina can make a serious run to end the season. If they get into the playoffs, they will be dangerous. Otherwise, I'd go with the Bears.

playing the bears at home in the playoffs sounds like a REALLY tough hill to climb. I'm still hard pressed to pick against SD and LT, especially if anyone ever finds out where they buried Antonio Gates, but I'm just going to pick the Colts. If Roy Williams can break his curse then there's hope for Peyton. I don't really like anyone in the NFC so I'll pick someone from the NFC west.

The Bears ...they won't be denied....will be unstoppable, healthy and mistake free in the playoffs.

I think they have a great chance if they can keep everybody healthy; Its a tossup between them and San Diego right now for who is playing the best in the AFC. All those other teams like Indy, New England and even Denver and KC could certainly go on a Pittsburgh style run but all four seem to have some fatal flaw.

The NFC? I'm as confused as anybody on that; Dallas is probably playing the best right now followed by Chicago. I wouldnt sleep on the Seahawks or Panthers either if for nothing else than they have the players and coaches who know how to win in the playoffs (bad cliche, sorry)

If it comes down to Dallas and Chicago, in Chicago, in the NFC Championship, I'd have a hard time picking against the Bears at home though there are a few intangibles that could pull the game to the Cowboys.
