Once and for fuckingall, LT = LAWRENCE TAYLOR, Linebacker extraordinaire from the New York Giants. He never played for the Chargers. LDT = LaDanian Tomlinson. Running Back Extraordinaire for the Chargers.

Semantic, I know, but it drives me crazy.

Oh, and I am happy with the cowboys resurgence, but in no way do I think they will win the Super Bowl. Nor do I think the Chargers will. (Schottenheimer + rookie QB = I wouldn't bet on it)

Denver? NO CHANCE
Carolina? NO CHANCE
INDY? Choker at QB and NO RUN DEFENSE = NO CHANCE

So, I know who won't win. Who will win is a much different question.

Defense wins championships. I think it will be either New England, Baltimore or Chicago.

Dallas is a joke. They're just the latest team to go on a winning streak. Before them, the Giants were all the rave with their 5 game win streak. Romo's embarassment is coming shortly and then everyone will jump off their bandwagon.

The Cowboys are currently fourth in total defense and they can run the ball. They really don't need Romo to do much more than manage the ship. I mean, you are rooting for Rex to win it for you guys (very possible) but keep in mind Chicago's coaching staff completely shit the bed in the playoffs last year against Carolina. Hopefully they learned something.

Fuck that shit. LT is the new LT. When you are putting up stats like he has, you earn the right for your nickname to be your own got damn initials.

Also, Rivers is not a rookie QB. First year starter yes, but far from a rookie QB.

Wrong. I guess you think that it'd be fine to call another baseball player The Babe. Why don't we start calling Julias Peppers "Night Train"?

Oh, PRiv sat for 2 years behind Brees, and you like him cos he's from NC State. I get it. Very Good.

I know who LT is, and his name Lawrence Taylor.

i don't think that initials are copywritable. we used to call michael jackson MJ back when he could dance, but then came michael jordan. if you don't want to get usurped then you can't use your initials as your nickname. tell it to the podcast.

Exactly. My point is initials. Good luck stopping people from calling Tomlinson "LT."

Also, just calling you out on your rookie qb comment.

Chargers are playing like a team of destiny right now. Rivers is young so that's a question mark but he has the leagues best RB & one of the leagues best TE's and that helps A LOT. To be honest I don't know shit about Baltimore, haven't seen em all season

I don't really care if your offence is sputtering if you allow only 137 points in 11 games your offence doesn't have to be great does it? As long as Grossman can cut the turnovers the Bears should be fine. Can't we just skip the first two weeks of playoffs & let Dallas play the Bears for the NFC? Do we really need 2 weeks in Jan of commentators telling us how great Reggie more turnovers than TD's & 3 yards per carry Bush is? I know I sure don't.

You right about Rivers, Tommy. I meant first year starter, but I said rook. There is a difference. I may be spittin the Pacific Ocean, but I won't EVER refer to LaDanian as LT...

I agree. Tomlinson is the best running back in the NFL over the past couple of seasons. LT was the second-best defensive player EVER. There's a big difference between being one of the best at your position over a multi-year span and being one of the best on YOUR ENTIRE SIDE OF THE BALL OVER YOUR ENTIRE CAREER. And I personally like Tomlinson wayyyyyyyy more than Taylor. But props is props, bitch.

Best defensive player ever being who?
I'm going with Dick Butkus, but I'm from Chicago. Just curious who you think it is.

Football is not like baseball in my opinion. Even harder to judge greatness across eras cause it's such a team sport and you really have to watch a guys career to understand how good he was. Even moreso you can argue Emmit vs. Sanders all day but if you haven't seen Sanders play, you really don't understand what he brings to the table.

All I can say is that LT is the greatest defensive player I've ever seen. And being coked out of your mind defintely helps.

I always thought Ronnie Lott was a more dominant force during the 80's and 90's than LT.
I also don't see the big deal of LT versus LT, since they played on opposite sides of the ball.
It would be like Husker fans saying Tom Osborne is the only TO, and that Terrell Owens has to be something else.
