A few months ago, I was given added responsibilities here at work, and was told a possible change in pay and job title might be considered down the road. In recent weeks, I've asked my boss if the time has come to revisit this, and even made a few suggestions for a new job title.

Well, the "only" pay change was a 6% annual salary increase (cry me a river, right?), BUT, I just found out today that my job title has been changed from Corporate Trainer to Director of Corporate Training & Communication. I have now somehow managed to combine my two most sought-after career aspirations: to become a Director and still not have anybody reporting to me! Pinch me, Mr. Ho...

FT, you're a corporate trainer? Who knew.

I'm an instructional designer. I studied "Educational Technology" (I know, paging George Orwell...).

For anyone who wondering WTF I'm talking about...We're basically related.

Oh... and congrats!!!

That's insane. It's like mid-60s and sunny here. I have the windows open.

Truth be told, this is more of a self-inflated job title, like the one thrown around by "Dwigt" on The Office. The only difference is, unlike Michael Scott, my boss acknowledges this is actually my title. But I have about as much authority around this place as "Dwigt," possibly even less.

But you see, that's even better.

And exactly how do you propose we get you past the background check? Resumes prominently featuring GITMO tend to be frowned upon in these parts.

Not sure if a 15-year-old letter of recommendation from Vince Foster will do the trick.

Workplace Harassment, New Hire Orientation and other such mundane and non-descript corporate drone training. It's wholly unimpressive, to be sure.

20's here. Aka, F'ING COLD.

Congrats of a sort, Bob. See if they'll hire a disadvantaged latin-american boy for you to be in charge of.

Doesn't this joke write itself, Bobbo?

Also, LARRY will serve as a FINE reference.
