I just starting working in mid-town and want to know where the hell are the record stores? I'm looking for somewhere I can hit during lunch so Adams Morgan and GTown are out of the question. Anything in Dupont? I went to Borders to try and find Lou Barlow, Psapp, Graham Coxon, or Lemon Jelly. They didn't have any of them.

Where do you work? I worked at International Square for 4 months, and the Borders to which I think you refer (on M or something like that?) always had what I was looking for, in terms of books and music...you might just be ahead of the release curve on some of these?

There was a Tower around there somewhere, but when I was there Tower was on the verge of going under, so it sucked. I'll run this one by my bro (he still lives there) and see what I can come up with.

I'm on 19th and L. right down the street from Borders. Maybe it's gone downhill, but everytime I go there, they don't have shit with regard to new indie releases.

International Square is 18th & I/19th & K...so, yeah, right there. I will say that when I worked there, my tastes were more mainstream, and I was buying a lot of catalogue releases/stuff I saw in Uncut...like Old 97s, Ryan Adams and the like.

Soundgarden then walk up Broadway to Reptilian.
I haven't been to either in waaaay too long, though.

Then throw your stash in the car and head for The Block.

There's nothing that even approaches Soundgarden in DC.
