I was so afraid that he'd started a "musical" career but thankfully it isn't so. Found this interview he did with Miles Davis on YouTube...

I still chuckle that Imus referred to him as Fat Albert every week when he was working with Phil Simms.

And yes, Bryant Gumble sucks. They should have gotten Boomer Esiason to do color so it could be the most pretentious, biggest fucking asshole booth EVER.

Cuz I like Collinsworth.

gumbel & collinsworth are actually one of the better tandems out there if you like commentators to actually call and analyze plays instead of drone on about t.o.'s latest antics or blab for the 823,429th time that brett favre "enjoys playing the game again".

my favorite guys so far were the backup mnf'ers opening weekend.

i also liked fouts on mnf. too bad dennis miller always sidetracked him with his banter.

I just can't get past his voice and his past.

He just comes off as soft to me. As does anyone who didn't start out doing Sports broadcasting first. It would be like Matt Lauer all of a sudden calling the Falcons game.

I keep waiting for him to go "Mike Vick to Roddy White.........falls incomplete........now here's Willard Scott with the weather."

I really enjoyed Bryant's comment about Jonathan Joseph last night. "He's a great guy on defense, you just wouldn't want him handling your young 'uns." After Joseph batted down (dropped) what could have been his 3rd or 4th interception, of which he held on to none.
