Instead of introducing myself I'll let the music do the talking, so to speak. You guys are all about lists, right. ;) Last Saturday I was snowed in along with pretty much the rest of the northeast so I whipped this comp together:

Snowdrift
01. Kicking The Heart Out - Rogue Wave
02. Concrete Seconds - Pinback
03. Tradewinds - Super Furry Animals
04. Lips Of Ashes - Porcupine Tree (I'm not a progger but what the hell)
05. The Hidden Track - Earlimart
06. Me & Mia - Ted Leo/Pharmacists
07. We'll Make A Lover Of You - Les Savy Fav
08. Les OS - The Unicorns
09. Color Me Once - Violent Femmes
10. Stars And Sons - Broken Social Scene
11. Boys, You Won't - The Wrens
12. Coalminer - Kid Dakota
13. Hell Is Chrome - Wilco
14. Une Annee Sans Lumiere - Arcade Fire
15. Comfort Me - Sparklehorse
16. Confederate Cheerio Call - Richard Davies
17. Coney Island - Death Cab For Cutie
18. Stay Don't Go - Spoon
19. Forget About Him I'm Mint - McLusky

I'm not putting this up for trade or anything 'cause I don't know if that'll fly around here.

Be brutal if you must :D

I like it. Some good bands on that mix, but not enough variety. Nonetheless, its a mix that I would enjoy.

By the way, how'd you find our board?

Yay for Sparklehorse. Well, and many others, but I don't hear much talk about Sparklehorse, unless I just miss it...

Anyway, you're alllllriiiight.

And welcome.

Heya Slosh.
Welcome to Obner.
That mix actually looks pretty good to me.
At least, as far as the songs/bands I've actually heard on there.

06. Me & Mia - Ted Leo/Pharmacists
08. Les Crap - The Unicorns

Other than that, it's "mint".

PS-Don't listen to Radcliffe. He's a soap star.

Your musical taste is just awful enough to fit in perfectly around here.

Grab a Spaten and tell me more about that Kid Dakota. And grab me one while you're up! Hey, I remember one of our old buddies sent me some Kid Dakota once. I think it was an EP before his debut came out. Sounded pretty good. How's that one?

It's the So Pretty EP you're talking about, no? That's where this song came from and I like it just fine. Never got anything else from them though. Not that I don't want more, just haven't run across any of their other stuff locally.

Spaten sounds like a good idea but I'll have to wait until after I pick up my daughter from basketball practice.

Is this love of ours a lie? Is it chemically derived?

Well, my first question would be....are you gay? If not, are you discreet? ;)

I got no problems with that mix except that it should be posted in the MIX section dumbass. :D

P.S. Don't pay any attention to Yail; enjoy your stay until you get flamed for real.

From that mix, you'll fit in just fine here because you have the Fab 5 on there (Wrens, Arcade Fire, Tweedy, Spoon and Gibbard) :P

And mix trades are highly encouraged, but don't be scared of the response you get.

Welcome!

I knew of this place for a while but haven't posted because, well, there's lots of activity but not much substance. Just giving this a little test drive is all ;)
