My dad retired on Thursday and is throwing a bash this weekend. He brewed 3 pony kegs of beer for the party. I've taken Monday off.

Did Elvis Fu die? (Ojala que sea....) Otherwise, why no comment on this?

i sort of inherited tickets. I don't really know if I should be excited about this, but I will be drunk by noon, so it should work itself out.

work pretty much all weekend, though I'm apparently going to some random party in the park after work tomorrow. IF the weather is ok - it's the second day of summer but it was ridiculously cold, wet and windy in Sydney today - wouldn't have got out of the 60s F

My weekend is really Monday/Tuesday this week though, so will try to get some Christmas shopping done then. Hopefully beach too

BROADNECK BRUINS at Suitland Rams
Maryland 4A Football State Semifinals. Winner will play in the State Finals at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

This year I was actually offered Army-Navy tickets, but my li'l bro's game is on a Saturday since it's in Prince George's County. They don't play on Friday nights to keep the body count down. For reference, Len Bias grew up in Suitland.

So what you're saying is that you and your pops are going to the game in full SS regalia, holding up signs referring to your brother as "The Quarterback Executioner"? and "The Oven"?

Actually, I didn't want to draw attention to myself, so I'm wearing a Len Bias throwback and 16 cans of Kiwi black.

Yeah, just don't answer them local brother's questions wrong or they'll be finding your decomped corpse in an abandoned row house.

i went to hear the juan maclean dj last night. i guess the cold weather was to blame for the relatively empty club, but it turned out all right. the guy doesn't seem like he's interested if people dance or not, which was a bit disappointing.

i'm not sure what else is on this weekend. i may do some music database updating and could possibly go to tower for awhile to see what the vultures have left.

Do you dance? Like at a club if a DJ is spinning?

This question should be a poll maybe.

if it's dance music, i'm dancing. if it's dj wankery, i'm probably just sitting off to the side waiting for dance music. last night was too much of the latter, at least for the first half of the set.

I dance, and I don't even fancy myself to be a great dancer or overly confident. The only time I don't dance is when I'm not feeling it or too busy drinking.
