Her dad always needs tools, so he's got some easy options. Her mom is great about telling us what she really wants waaay in advance. My side is 10x harder. They want/need/appreciate almost nothing.

My side is 10x harder as well. My mom is too classy for me to even comprehend what she would like beyond Willie Nelson CD's (which I always buy her as a part of her Christmas gift--sort of a white trash tradition); my dad is the typical dad who buys himself what he wants and is dismissive of any and everything else; they have become travel and cruise junkies though so I'm working on finding them high end accessories to make their travels easier.

$37? I haven't tried it out yet but it really is made of foam. i don't have high hopes, but for the good doctor it really only has to work for a few minutes before a dog eats it.

And where did you get it?

I bought something like that for my nephew last christmas or his birthday, I can't remember. I think it didn't take that long to charge but would only fly for a few minutes before it ran out. At least it was better than the water powered rocket I bought him which flew once and then wouldn't charge right.

I saw a catalog the other day that had higher end r/c helicopters and planes but I forget what the website was at this moment.

Yeah, have your wife do it. Why isn't she at least helping with this?

I have been living under the assumption of the exact opposite.

i ended up buying them a book, some trailer park boys dvds, a helicopter, and a six pack of Graeter's ice cream with a card that says "dear mom, shove this in your bone hole, bonesmoker! luv Chaz", which shouold be funny. they can fight out who has to read the book.
