I spent an hour listening to a chinese girl slurp her food, like always. The chinese, they do not know the "no slurping" rule.

There's some dark stuffage on the album like "Me And Sarah Jane," "Keep It Dark" and "Dodo/Lurker," but it's certainly not my favorite and is the last of their releases that's consistently bearable. The self-titled one after Abacab was the breaking point; has some strong tracks, but was also the charge into cheezewhiz.

Huh, I thought S/T was way better than Abacab

However, there's really no excuse for "Illegal Alien"

The sonics and textures on Genesis are extraordinary, but I like the nihilism of Abacab more.

Regardless, they ain't no LLDOB.

You're thinking of Duke, which immediately preceded Abacab.

Plus, you forget my other non-SK-approved album rankings, such as GBV. There is no accounting for my taste, if I can even be considered to have any.

Good man, Dalen. I think it's the synths I dig most on this one, though Phil's drumming rarely ever sounded this good elsewhere.

my mom was a huge Genesis fan, and when she played Abacab for the first time, i was hooked. At first it was the painting on the cover, and then by tunes like No Reply At All, Like It Or Not, Keep It Dark, and the title track.

damn, countless hours studying this album alone in my room. good times and good memories of my mom.

I hate to be the politically correct one, but in China and shit, aside from putting pee-pee in your coke, dat slurpin IS the rule. They be thinking something wrong with YOU when you don't slurp.
