I live in the haight-ashbury area. At Amoeba mostly. They're making me pay rent there.

Sucka Free = San Francisco, for those not from the Yay Area.

I was there last week and I can't believe I didn't think to go to Amoeba.

Anyway, I might be moving to SF this fall. Or Seattle. We'll see.

Silicon Valley. Live in Sunnyvale, work in Palo Alto. Highs in the 60s today, this place would be perfect if we had a South Bay Amoeba.

Both. But in general I wish it went slower.

Santa Cruz... over the hill from the horrendous Silicon Valley. Surf City, USA. Down the coastline from SF.

That 14 South from San Jose to Santa Cruz ain't no joke. I did that drive in a rented car once on zero sleep at night. I thought the locals were gonna run me off the road they were all going so fast

Hwy 17

It is truly one of the most insane highways in the country. Twisting, poorly engineered road through the mountains, narrow lanes, crowded with urban-like commuter traffic, all traveling at about 85 mph. People die weekly.
