Oh god.

Any list starting with MCR is bad, bad news. Unless it's been compiled by a thirteen year-old.

Kasabian's pretty bad too. And the Yeahs and Strokes were so, so underwhelming and disappointing.

Its funny how the list also included Strokes and Muse, yet the same detractors of the list will probably have those in their lists to second Timis and the others.

I just know, we all know, that there are better, more memorable albums from this year.

Right, but I think the point is, that many people on the board listen to many of those bands and will probably have them on their lists. Sure, there are better albums, and these lists are always crap, but its just funny (ironic?) to see such opposition to a list and then see our lists and see some of the same.

ILM is off line and is revamping its board (moving server from the UK to Canada ect)...still the temp board gets over 275 replies when NME is involved.

What's not to get? It's just fun dance music. Not real deep or groundbreaking - just kinda fun and bouncy.

The problem is it's an EP masquerading as an album.

Sometimes lists as a whole become guilty by association. The inclusion of My Chemical Romance may make people suspect this is a "hot bands of the year" list rather than a "best music released in 2006" list.

Years ago I used to really agree with the NME list... this is meaningless to me. Bad list.

That first track on CSS speaks the truth. Fun doesn't have to be that stupid and annoying.

True, I guess its like if you are looking at someone's collection and are really geling with the selections, and then come across a Britney Spears album.

I'm not uptight in the least. I just agree with CSS when they say "CSS sucks".

I love that whole argument of "If you don't like the same fun party music I do then you must not know how to have fun."
