Monday night I ended up talking to my ex that I have not spoke to for over a year. After a bunch of emotions back and forth we decided to meet today. She came over had CNN on in the background and music blasting. Watching the hours pass by and being naked with her for the first time in over two years. Debating if voting is that important or this moment was worth what it was.

So I did not end up voting after all because she left way after the polls already closed. Life is sometimes really simple but very complex.

I’m a bad American, as I really wanted to voice my opinion.

My theme today is “Float On” by Modest Mouse because Bush has won. In four years times this will be a very different America, and I will cry.

Personally this might be one of the best weeks of my life in a long, long time. Too much wine tonight, drowning my sorrows and celebrating nakedness.

As long as you weren't going to vote in Ohio, we forgive you.

Don't listen to them. Western Civillization is in irreversable decline anyway, so if it's a choice between voting in a sham election between two useless candidates and getting it on with an ex, there can only be one plausible choice.

Did I fuck up, yes. Was it that big of a deal, no. If my vote really counted I would of made the time with no problem. Kerry won this state in a landslide and everything went how I would of voted anyways. I already knew this, I paid attention, and if it mattered I would have been there.

About the girl: When we went out before I lived 500 miles away. Long distance relationships are hard to do and she meets someone else and I let her go. We never finished so the question was always there, what if? She finally is a free woman again and it just so happens that yesterday was the only day we could meet up. I did not want to wait any longer. Things went amazingly well as I spent eight hours in bed.

Relax...You'll get over it. You are young, you made a choice, don't sweat it. There will be plenty of other elections in which you can participate if you so desire. You have a right to vote and a right to speak your mind. They are not contigent upon one another.

Don't be so hard on yourself, it's a minor blip on the radar when you look at all the days behind and ahead of today. Keep things in perspective.

Can't agree more about Western Civilization. People think we'll rebound and get better, but China and India are just going to become too strong if we ever allow them to actually industrialize hardcore and outproduce us. Eastern World v. It happened and we talked about it during that time but did not want to get out of bed, so I didn’t. She’s even more political than myself and I was comfortable about my decision.
