IE7 Question - HELP

i think it's obvious that FF 2 (is the latest, right?) is better than IE7. IE7 is just catching up with functionality that made the last version of FF cool. a clear win for open source development.

I fooled around with that cleartype stuff for about a week or so after IE7 came out trying to get it to look good. Yeah, you love it at first, it looks so smooth, but that shit starts to fuck with your eyes. On all 3 computers I tried to tune it on it just ended up looking a little fuzzy and weird.

95% of the time i am on a laptop and it looks good to me (clear type)

I tried it on my laptop and two CRT's. All the web propaganda says that cleartype is great, so I don't quite know why I couldn't get it to look good. Do you tune with something other than the online 4-step thing?
