Sarah Chalke Scrubs Into Engagement

Sarah Chalke is going from white coat to white wedding.
The Scrubs star is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, entertainment lawyer Jamie Afifi, Chalke's rep confirmed to E! News. A wedding date has yet to be set.
Afifi, 33, popped the question to the actress last week, while they were vacationing at Hawaii's Grand Wailea Resort during a hiatus from the NBC comedy.
The couple, who both hail from Canada, have been dating since 2003.
The impending vow-swap will mark the first trip down the aisle for the prime-time player.
Details on the big day will likely be kept mum, as Chalke, 30, and Afifi have intentionally maintained a low romantic profile during their courtship.
But should they tie the knot soon, they should have plenty of time for honeymooning.
Chalke, who first landed on the pop culture radar as the replacement Becky in Roseanne, is currently in her sixth, and likely last, season of starring as socially awkward resident Dr. Elliott Reed on Scrubs.
The show was tapped to return to the airwaves as a midseason replacement in January, but instead was rushed into a premiere last week as part of NBC's revamped Thursday night lineup, in which it was pitted against ratings powerhouses Grey's Anatomy and CSI.
Throughout its half-decade run, the show has been the victim of countless time-slot shuffles and has suffered from less than stellar ratings, although it has maintained a small group of incredibly devoted fans.
Both series star Zach Braff and Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence have hinted in interviews that this would be the show's final season, especially with NBC programmers announcing the network would be moving away from expensive scripted shows and refocus on cheaper reality fare.
In any case, the possibility of unemployment in the short term hasn't kept the cast from making long-term commitments offscreen.
Chalke's engagement is the second on set in the past few months. In August, John C. McGinley proposed to his yoga teacher girlfriend of the past two and a half years, Nicole Kessler.
