Starting on Tuesday, December 12, Hip Displeasure will unveil our Top 20 Albums of 2006, one album per day from #20 on 12/12 all the way up to #1 on New Year's Eve.

And as a bonus, each Hip-D staffer will spotlight their own personally highest-ranked album that did not make the Hip-D Top 20. Consider it our staff's "Airing of Grievances," just in time for Festivus!

Well, I just finished compiling the results and there are some real shockers, both in terms of what did and did not make the list. All in all, I'm very excited with how it turned out, even though some of my personal favs failed to make the cut.

It's hard for me to resist the temptation to just unveil the entire list right here and now, but it's better for business if I build suspense via the overly-dramatic one chart position per day unveiling method.

I just now checked my email for the first time in over twenty-four hours and now I've only got an hour to write a blurb. Eep.
