Sucks a dick up and hiccups. Seriously, some heinous shit. It took me about 1 hr to go 20 miles tonite. Had to drive reeeeeeeeeeeaaalllly sloooooooow, and put on the flashers. When they say bridges ice before the road, they are correct. Glad I had my wits about me/ am a pretty good driver, because some folks in ATL got their weekends started WRONG.

True Story

As some of you know my wife Regina is black.

We were engaged and Regina was talking to my Mom fairly late one night. Regina and my Mom didn't know each other all that well yet. My Dad was out driving back home. There had just been a snowstorm and the roads were icy.

My Mom says to Regina, "I'm worried about Paul(my Dad) because it's late out and you know you have to watch out for the black ice."

Regina doesn't hear this. What she hears is...

"I'm worried about Paul because it's late out and you know you have to watch out for the black guys"

Regina doesn't even know how to respond to this. My Mom just goes on talking and Regina aint even paying attention anymore. She's wondering what kind of fucked up family she's about to marry in to.

After about ten minutes of monosyllabic responses to my Mom who she now thinks may be off her rocker...she gets it. Black ice

Don't know how well it will go over written like this, but it's funny as hell when my wife tells it and it has become a standard "family joke" with Regina always telling my parents to "watch out for those black guys."

Yeah, I ammend my earlier post---I just went walking around and its really thick ICE and not much snow. My driveway is a sheet of crunchy shit. As cliche as it is (especially in Atlanta, where people literally go insane over this type of thing), I'm glad I went to the store last night so I ain't gotta go nowhere today.

when I lived in Savannah one time we got like a half-inch of snow and people flipping the fuck out. schools were let out, markets mobbed... Yeah needless to say i felt like a mountain man in comparison.
