According to Filter, it's Sawn-der Lair-kay

I always pronounced it as Sawn-druh Lair-chay

I was saying "Ray La-Mon-Tag-Knee"

When it's really Ray LaMon-tane.

Because New Englanders have to simplify Frenchiness.

I keep pronouncing Neko Case as Neck-ko from doing Japanese (neko=cat), but apparently it's more like knee-ko

i was going to do this one but i don't know how to do those fancy letters. it's pronouced "music" i think, but i still say it weird, like, "myu-seek" and i think i still file it under the letter "u" on my shelf.

also, i think we need a refresher course on

Sigur Ros

I asked an employee at a record store in Boise for the new Notwist album a few years ago. Here's how it went down.

Me: Hey, do you have the new "No-twist" album.
Him: Yeah we have the new "Not-wist" record.

I didn't ask questions and i've never sought the truth.

I think it's too late for the Bjork thing. Everyone rhymes it with "fork."

Harley is right. Bjork is pronounced "byerk". All you need to do is listen to her when she pronounces her name.

Well you can just pronounce it "Good man's daughter," since that's where it comes from.

Yes on both. She really should know better.

When I was in high school, I pronounced Daniel Lanois as LAN-OH-IS. 4 years of Spanish - what did I know of French? I went into my hipster record store asking for his first solo record and the clerk looked at me like I was retarded. My first taste of record store shame.

I only worked this one out when I was learning Greek. The 'µ' is a Greek 'mu'.

That photo must have been taken in Scotland since that is Ben Lomond in the background.

Probably from the village of Luss on Loch Lomond. I would have taken the photo from Lock Katrine since the North face of Ben Lomond is much more impressive in a sort of mini Matterhorn type way but, hey, that's just me.
