My dad used to repair cars back in the day. When he passed away, he left about 10-12 old Motor Auto Repair Manuals. These books date from the 40's to 70's. Rather than get rid of them, I've a feeling they might be of value to someone. Does anyone know if these have any value?

they're probably not worth much, as the manuals for classic cars are continually reprinted anyway. what cars are they for?

I think mostly American made cars.

I did see a couple of manuals going for $20-40 each.

american made cars means nothing. i mean unless they're for 60s corvettes, a 69 GTO or select years of Mustang, then they're not worth anything. even new, reprints of these manuals are still around $20.
