New album from The Bees. Some excellent "classic" sounding tunes and even some Motown influence on this. I love the production these guys have. Good shit.

I was thinking about this band recently. They are among my favorite 'random' bands. i.e. I really like everything I hear from them when they come up in my random plays, but never really wanna put it on.

Other bands in this category are Luna and The White Stripes. I am sure there are more. I guess I could start my own thread, but I felt like hijacking yours.

What made them drop "Band Of" from the name? I liked the longer name beeter.

I'm pretty sure they're still Band of Bees in the U.S. It's one of those "somebody's already called the Bees in America" things, and I guess they didn't want to go with Bees UK.
