Yeah, I figure I owe everyone a big post-wedding wrap up post.

The whole shebang was fucking amazing, and pretty much went off without a hitch. When you do something like this, you really find out who you can count on, and my mates (here and in real life) stepped it up huge. Derris was the fucking hit of the whole thing. And Bloor is a king hell monster of epic proportions. I think if, on saturday, I had said "I wanna go mutilate a dead body" he and Big Daddy (the best man) would have opened a trunk and handed me some tools. Those dudes were ON IT.

The rehearsal (despite some dispute over T shirt sales with management) was really fucking cool. All the love came out, and we generally drank, watched a fine slideshow my sister put together, and everyone told Femgar and her parents how much of a piece of shit I was before I met her, and how much of a better person I am now. Everyone looked fuckin good (only chance for us style mavens to try to outdo each other) and I hope that my groomsmen's gifts (framed copy of Rudyard Kipling's "If" and a personal note about what they all mean to me) was a hit.

Then the fucking drinking began in ernest back at the hotel. I got to spend some quality time with Squirrg and Busty and their respectives wimin-folk, and some of my other boys in from out of town, suck back Scotch, and generally whoop. I told Femgar I would be in bed by 1 am and I was (Pacific Time)

The day was a fucking disaster leading up to the event, mainly because I had car troubles and AAA was being run by slope-headed troglodytes. We finally passed it off to my dad (who did a great job of making it seem like a burden on his time) and did a quick S, S & S, and headed to the church, to sit in a small room with a bad radio for 4 hours and crack jokes.

Wedding was gorgeous, bride was resplendent, and it all went off without a trip or a last minute objection/human rights violation charges.

The reception was pretty much amazing as well, Which was a little surprising considering it A) wasn't that expensive for what we got, and B) the hotel staff up to that point was performing like staff at your average DMV. So, we drank and we danced and we talked to everyone, and we went up to our suite and then off to The Bahamas. Bloor gave an awesome speech ("A lot of long days and late nights, but it never got weird enough for us") and even the band was pretty good. The last dance floor freak out was 'Sweet Home Alabama' and in the breaks in the chorus there were competing chants of "Roll Tide Roll" and "Go Dawgs Go" Best night of my life.

The Bahamas was fucking cool. We literally did NOTHING. We had planned to go snorkeling or kayaking, but my abject fear of the sea, and an ear infection nixed that. So, we hung out with our new billy friends from Ft. Worth and made fun of "Der Dumkaupfs." (Fucking Germans can suck my American dick. We tried to make some small talk with them -- me having LIVED in Germany and Femgar having visited a few times, we figured we could make some convo -- but I guess they thought that since we were from Alabama that we were cheap charlie #10. I'm still pissed at those fuckers, and may fire off a letter to their consulate ;) )

Anyway, back in Alabama, tanned, rested and ready....to do nothing. Thanks for all the well wishes. Will post pics later, and everyone who has pix, please do the same

I totally agree, Bloor, you need to bring Derris with you to SXSW!

I'm gonna do my best but I already have several trips that are going to require shelling out cash for airplane tix. We'll see.

As far as partying goes, I'm not scared to cut loose but like Loog has said before, I'm like a starting pitcher, I'll give you all I got for one outing then i need my rest until the next start.

Derris is the Dean Martin of this crew, to be sure.

He and my boy Jigga are instant crunkness. all you need is music and a little booze and YOU WILL have fun.

I wanna see more pics.

Having recently has the opportunity, I vaguely recall him as a fuckin' excellent drinking companion.

And yeah, great pics overall. Looked like a tremendously successful event.

The correct answer, T, is that the future ex-Mrs. Loogar will never have her photographic likeness made available to the mouth-breathers & sex-offenders (well, just me, for the second; maybe juice, though he just seems pervy, not criminal) at this message-board.

I believe the good-man Loogar himself has indicated this. (Was it the thread of his reconnaisance mission to Dallas, to convene with FT & Jagged to discuss imagined mongerosity?)

(For the record, I don't believe that LooGAR played "asshole", but with rails instead of shots, while in college... & I won't, unless photos are presented.)

The one that you posted of me spinning her is fine. Also, photographic evidence that she DOES exist.

And Deena, if you and Phil come to Dallas on the 23rd, you get to meet her.

I think deena's working on that day, i have to confer with colin about a little road trip up there. Don't know if he's working. Are you guys still pondering the 27th? We'll still be in town then. I'll cook shit, you bring a pic or two of the dress for deena, although why she wants to look at it is beyond me.

I think our Austin visit depends on y'all's Dallas visit. Most likely one or the other...
