Well, someone has gotta mention Nick Drake so it might as well be me. Pink Moon!

Image

Couple others that come quickly to mind but that only have a passing reference to the moon in the lyrics, but that I dig a whole big bag o' bunch are....

From Songs: Ohia, Farewell Transmission (absolutely love this song)
Mama here comes midnight with the dead moon in its jaws
Must be the big star about to fall
Long dark blues
Will o the wisp
The big star is falling
Through the static and distance
A farewell transmission
Listen

From PJ Harvey, Yuri-G (absolutely love this song)
Hey there Luna
I'd like to tell ya
How sad am I
So love sick I could die

Needing water
My neck's stiff, my head hurts
Been looking up all night
Been looking at the Moon, she's so bright

Beat you by a second on Nick Drake.

And for S:O, I'll take the moon/ blue light fixations from Didn't It Rain. Also Jason Molina - No Moon on the Water (from the 7" sold by Chunklett) is good, but a serious downer even for him.

Hehehe, that's funny. Looks like this thread has been up for most of a day and we both chime in within a second of each other with the same two artists. Great minds and all that.... :)

Any Songs: Ohia is good Songs: Ohia.
