Truth be told, I hate holiday shopping and as per usual I wait until the last minute to get my ass in gear and buy things for people. So I'm relying on you to help me come up with some good gift ideas.

What should I get for a 17-year old girl and a 15 year-old boy for Xmas?

The girl loves her phone, playing basketball, competing in wrestling tournaments, Roxy brand girly-girl type of surfer wear clothing.

The boy loves his Playstation, Nintendo Gamecube and follows the NFL games every week.

That Playstation portable game thing is too expensive.


Besides the NFL shop, where can I get a Reggie Bush jersey? Are tthere any stores that have this kind of stuff?

most sporting good chains have a lot of the most popular jerseys. i don't know what they have in hawaii for sporting good chains (sports authority? dick's?), but whichever would be a good bet.

Random observation about "the kids" these days in relation to Sports Jerseys:


A friend of mine teaches high school just south of Atlanta and I went down to hang out with him this fall. We went to his high school's Friday night football game.

I noticed at least 15-20 kids rocking the official issue NASCAR jackets. It was mostly the black kids but some of the white ones were too.

I thought is was just one kid then, sure enough, there's the Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, Dale Jr., etc.

Not sure if this is a new trend or if this has something to do with the school being one exit from Atlanta Motor Speedway or just a southern suburbs thing?
