Last FM

Can someone explain to me how this works exactly? It sounds like something I'd be interested in.

I think it basically tracks the music to play on your computer, ranks it by most-played, and by that you can get recommendations by people who are similar to your tastes.

And I meant "tracks the music YOU play" not "to play." But I've been drinking, so I am forgiven.

It's a pretty great way for points of divergence. Sometimes their similar recs seem a bit odd, but regardless it's an excellent way to get introduced to other bands. I find it seriously stronger than pandora and some of the others.

My daliance with Last FM didn't 'last' a week.

I just don't listen to music on my computer, Dell doesn't get a look in when there's a Ken Ishiwata'ed Marantz sitting there.
