Out of these...Clinton

My personal preference is for Joe Biden.

I would not be surprised with an actual Clinton/Obama ticket in 08', followed by 8 yrs of that..then Obama as President in 2016.

I'm as moderate as a person can get if you factor in I'm a moderate who thinks this administration lied about Iraq.

Or rather, a person from a fundamentalist Christian conservative Republican childhood who moved slowly toward skeptical independant pragmatism but never quite to idealistic tree-hugging.

Would be a liberal if so many of them weren't deluded hypocrites.

Would be libertarian if so many of them weren't creepy assholes.

Never gonna be particularly conservative again, though my wife is.

I don't know the election laws of Oregon, but many states allow those who register as Independents to pick which party they want to vote for during a primary without having to be a member of the two big parties. If you pick an actual third party in these states, you are typically stuck voting a non-partisan ballot that does not include major offices.

In Maryland, Independents cannot vote in primaries. Only registered Democrats & Republicans.

It really depends on the match-up for me, but I will not vote for John McCain for President. I also don't think McCain will get the nomination.

As for the others, there are possibilities. I think Obama is green and a super longshot, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't vote for him. If Hillary ran against McCain, I would likely vote 3rd party, but you never know. Giuliani has said some things that pleased me while remaining either critical of the status quo or pretty low on the political soundbite totem pole.

Hell, I would take 5 of Kucinich's 13 campaign points with no argument and a few more with some clarification.

It's not his fault, but the name isn't working.

I'll vote for Kucinich in the Ohio primary. When he loses, I'll vote for whoever wins the Democratic presidential nomination.

Dennis is a stale cookie. If you want to make a statement, vote Green, or SWP, or CPA or Peace and Freedom.... or... or....
