Tip, when you've been listening at high volumn on headphones to a shitty first generation CD that's mastered really low, remember to turn the aforementioned volumn down before playing a new CD that is mastered at a much higher level.

I've nearly destroyed my hearing a number of times at work. In the production room, if you accidently leave up a channel on the board that you're trying to record to, the feedback can split your skull in half.

This brain frazzling occurs to me upon almost every listen of Halycon(Beautiful Days) by Mono right around the 5 minute mark. from a review: "I didn't know guitars could get so loud".

Obviously, this reviewer never heard Queen in concert.

Raves have already destroyed my hearing. "Mother, I can never come home again 'cause I seem to have left an important part of my brain somewhere, somewhere in a field in Hampshire."

A few rock bands as well: Flaming Lips, Spiritualized and so many more.

My hearing isn't the best anymore, but I'm working hard on destroying whatever's left of it...
