I rarely do anything but was thinking of maybe going to a show or something. Unfortunately, that seems out of the question.

The only bands playing that night are Blue Rodeo, the Sadies, Jon Rae & The River, and a Benny Goodman tribute. None of whom I'm that familiar with or into.

The Sadies are an incredible live band. If you're going to choose sitting at home by yourself or going out, I'd at least go check them out.

Let me know if you need more info or a taste of the music.

My NYE plans are to see Centro-Matic & Drive By Truckers fuckin' up at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta. I know Derris will be there and am hoping for a last minute appearance by Bloor and LooGAR. Either way mass consumption of the hooch will occur. I also plan on stalking a random girl until she makes out with me at midnight .

I have acquaintances who are really into them and I do have the feeling I probably would like them. I just don't really know anything by them and don't know if I'd be up for spending $20 and $15 for the train to see a band I don't know anything by. Especially since I'd most likely be going alone then, too.

I'll PM you the 1st disc of their live release that came out this year. It'll be in a couple of hours as I have some errands to run.

I'm going to NYC with some friends and going to Studio B where DJ Assault, Aaron Lacrate, Grandwizard Theodore, Rob Swift and a bunch of other dj's are spinning. And it's only $10 if you rsvp.

It should be a lot more fun than whatever's going on in Boston.

I am going to see My Morning Jacket at the Fillmore. Also have tickets for Saturday but am wimping out... anyone wanna buy 'em?

BLUE RODEO .... while I am not a full blown country fan, this band is one of the great, unrecognized, country-rock bands in history. The "Five Days in May" album is in my all time top 20... sadly, no one knows them anymore.

Home with wife.
Most likely in bed by 10:00 or so. Probably asleep by 11:00.

Yes.
When they can stay awake, which is hard when you're woken up at 5:00-6:00 every morning.

I was hoping that you'd say you'd be having some Tara-Conner-with-Katie-Blair style fun with the RollerGirl.

But, I bet the show will be just as nice... for you.

Hey jasmine, we're hanging with the loogars tomorrow, leaving the day after that.

Where's girl talk playing?

Anyhow, what are you up to on the 29th or 30th, we should be in Chicago by then and we'll probably get together with friends at Kuma's Corner, or Small Bar or something like that, maybe Duke's...

All i know is i want to eat at least once at Bluefin again with Deena if i can help it.

same as each of the past 15 years:

fall asleep in my chair about 30 minutes before dick clark's ball drops

this year, he'll finally be drooling more than me once midnight rolls around

That's just crazy talk. Decent reckid and all, but I rank their Diamond Mine as easily their best.

Blue Rodeo- criminally under-rated. And Diamond Mine is my favorite, but never heard a bad one.
