I'm looking to buy a few specific titles.... I tried getting 'em used on amazon but the shipping fees were brutal.

I'm looking for The Explorers, Liam, High Fidelity & Nicholas Nickleby... so it will have to be a place with a decent selectioné...

Have you checked out www.secondspin.com for used DVDs? Looks like High Fidelity is $6.99 and Liam is $7.99. Not sure about shipping rates

Netflix has a pretty good selection too if you're a member.

I've been using Djangos.com for used CDs, but have never bought a movie from them. Shipping and handling is around $2, but if you're on the mailing list, they often have specials waiving those fees.

High Fidelity for $11. Hmm, not the cheapest, but...

I've been looking for a bunch of Criterion releases too, but I suspect you can't find them anywhere for less than $30. If they're even in print, that is.

Factor in the s&h and it's probably about what I'd pay in store here anyway.

DVD Planet does all Criterions for 35% off, which is the best deal you'll find, barring the occasional 50% off sale at Amazon (which is usually on a handful of slow moving Criterions). Free shipping, too.

I think this works great. It allows you to compare prices by title and it factors in shipping. Deepdiscountdvd is on there but when I bought alot of Criterions a while back, other stores had them beat by a mile. I got most of them for 20 bucks plus shipping.
