I can't turn my head to either side, look up or down, and even turning at the waist is near impossible. I don't have any painkillers or muscle relaxers, nor do I know anyone with access to them.

Any ideas? There's a lot of dancing to be done tonight and I don't want to miss out.

Masturbate. That'll loosen you up.

I don't know if I can even do that. Oral's probably out of the question, too.

oh god, this is bad. I feel like there are waves of heat shooting through my neck.

I have a slipped disc and the only thing that really works is ibruprofen or aleve taken regularly. Take like 3 advil now and then a few more later. I have been doing this the whole time Ihave been at my parents bc the long plane ride effed me up.

I honestly think this works better than the prescription pain killers like vicodin, et c....

but go easy on the booze if you do this.

edit:yes, hot bath too. that'll help.

honey, you need to take a long hot shower. and keep taking the tylenol every few hours. it's gonna take like a day to really kick in, unfortunately.

Take 600-800mg Ibuprofen every 8 hours. Watch the Tylenol dose--1500mg is pretty hefty for you. 1000mg is probably your max. If you take 1500mg too many times your going to stress your liver, especially if you're going to be drinking tonight. That's not a good combination.

Heat is definitely a good thing---shower, bath, heating pad.

Yeah, the hot shower thing may work. And then nap. Sleep heals all.

I could sleep. And shower. It's been awhile for both of those things.

Yes on the hot bath and lots of ibuprofen, but follow with ice packs, not heating pad... pain=inflammation=pain... heat relaxes but inflames, cold reduces inflammation.

PLEASE do not take any more tylenol if you will be drinking tonight. I try to stay away from more than 2000mg daily for people who DONT drink.

Im just saying

Stretching might help.

Ugh.

I have horrible back pain last few months. Just terrible. I can't sleep on my back anymore, hurts too much.

Advil is my friend. That and every other week massages.
