Reminds me of LSU v. Georgia a few years ago. After LSU beat Georgia by blitzing practically every play the year before, Georgia ran lotsa three-step drops and fade routes to take LSU out. Both of these offenses need to look to something similar in the second half. Jarrett has a big height advantage for the Trojans, it'll go.

BTW, blow me David Greene.

sucks unless you like defense... it is way retro... like pre-BCS Rose Bowls with USC-Michigan "classics" at 14-12.

I think Michigan deserves a 2nd chance to play the Rose Bowl again on a neutral site.

No shit, huh. Fuck Michigan and the Big 10 Peanut Gallery.

And while we're fucking people with railroad ties, let's grease one up with extra creosote for ol' Houston Nutt. The Hogs outperformed all expectations this year behind a seasoned offensive line busting holes open for Darren McFadden and Felix Jones.

He gets in the postseason and completely FREAKS OUT against Wisconsin. Comes out throwing the fucking ball. Oh, and let's not forget his total pussyfooting RE: Mitch Mustain & his parents. Before the game, Nutt determined that Mustain would go in on the 3rd offensive series, regardless of what was actually happening in the game at that time. Genius.

So Nutt & Offensive Coordinator Gus Malzahn managed to call the game as if they had no actual plan for victory. Sometimes Casey Dick at QB, sometimes Mustain, and sometimes they would impress everyone with their genius that is the Wildcat formation with McFadden taking snaps. No plan. No rhythm. And it showed, big time.

Defense stepped up bigtime and shut down not only P.J. Hill, but the entire Badger offense in the second half. Robert Johnson stepped up big on offense, catching damn near every pass in his direction, since Marcus Monk is apparently striving to be the least productive WR in school history.

And they still only lost 17-14. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...but Wisconsin ain't no powerhouse, even at 12-1. A good team, sure, but they aren't a Top 10 team. Just more overhyped Big 10 bullshit. And just to head it off at the pass: Arkansas is not a great team either. Hell, they're barely good.

Sure is a shame that Boise State can't compete at the same level as all the Real Conferences.

BOISE STATE UNDEFEATED.

National Champions, period. Fuck all you hos.

Boise State can play with and defeat any fucking team in the nation. Small school, big school, you name it.

IIRC, that makes two non-BCS schools to make BCS bowls, and they both won their games.

Last two minutes of Boise St. and overtime was the best sequence of offensive coaching I've seen in years. Fack Bowden and the "puntrooski".

Utah over Pitt, in Fiesta Bowl '05 (following '04 season). Not as large of an upset as you would think a Moutain West-over-Big East (BCS Conf.) would be.

Boise State over OK, this year. Definitely an upset. Esp. when you consider that the starting tail-back knits. (To borrow from LooGAR, "He NOT real street nigga".)

I didn't catch much of the first half, but the 2nd half offensive explosion by USC was pretty entertaining, and I picked Michigan.
It clearly wasn't a national title caliber game or as good as the last two Rose Bowl games, but it wasn't really boring like what I saw of the Wisconsin-Arkansas and Penn State-Tennessee games.
