same reason I have to take issue with paper and paladisiac: I just don't see Jake the Snake running the table in the playoffs without shitting on himself at least once, probably with the game on the line.

i see jake at his safest like a much-better trent dilfer of the SB-winning ravens. they made the championship game in 2005 and were really just a rod-smith compliment from competing in that game down the stretch.

In a perfect world I agree that Jake could be great as that type of QB and to be honest he was for most of last season. I'm sure you will agree (especially since you see him more than I do) that he has the potential to morph into a desperate Brett Favre clone trying to win games on his own.

Man, those were some pretty shitty picks. I will give myself credit for picking the Saints to make the playoffs before the season even started. Overall, three of six AFC playoff picks and five of six NFC playoff picks, for a combined total of eight out of twelve. I guess it looks less shitty when I put it that way. But a Jags-Panthers Super Bowl?!?!?

I think I bought into the idea that Jim Mora's 2nd season (8-8 ) was the aberration and the NFC South champs season (11-5) was what was to be expected.

Jesus, This post as much as anything shows that I don't really like the NFl and should never listen to the so called experts. It would only be worse if I had predicted the Falcons in the playoffs too.
