Not sure what disappoints me more about this one -- is it the fact that the Al Davis referenced on the cover is not the owner of the Oakland Raiders, or that "Hurley" from TV's Lost IS on the cover?!?

Holy shit, there is some true Molo anthems in there.

And, again, the dude from Orleans is now A UNITED STATES CONGRESSMAN!

That Millie Jackson cover isn't *that* bad.

Even though we have a thread like this every year it still winds up funny. Like Benny Hill jokes or something.

The fact that they even MAKE albums like KEN -- an OBVIOUS CHILD MOLESTER, or JOYCE -- who apparently is Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie garb, will always draw some guffaws.

I grew up in a Baptist family with gospel singer relatives, several of whom cut albums in the late 60's-mid 70's, so I've seen my share of wretched album covers. My brother Storme's group used to open for groups like The Happy Goodmans and The Singing Hawaiians. There were invariably several morbidly obese band members with gigantic egos to match and always one Lawrence Welky babe with gigantic hair.

Geezub, if I can find a pic of my oldest brother's band, I will. Course they broke up when the bass singer got sent to die in Vietnam. And my brother's first wife was a member. She accused him of alcoholic rampages against her personage and he moved off to find himself at a California writer's commune.

I played this whole album on my college show once and read poems written by the Chair of the Humanities department between tracks. He looked like Farley Mowatt. Alcohol was involved.
